As the 2025–26 college basketball season approaches, Alabama is shaping up to be one of the top teams to watch. Head coach Nate Oats, entering his seventh season, has built a consistent contender, with 145 wins and five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Though the Crimson Tide have come close to a national title—reaching the Final Four and Elite Eight the past two seasons—they’re still chasing that elusive championship.
Oats and his staff have been aggressive in the transfer portal this spring, adding four new players to strengthen the roster. The most recent addition is Keitenn Bristow from Tarleton State, the WAC Freshman of the Year. Bristow, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 11.3 points per game and led all WAC freshmen in conference scoring.
He joins a trio of other transfers:
- Noah Williamson (Bucknell): A productive center who averaged 17.6 points in his final season and brings three years of college experience.
- Taylor Bol Bowen (Florida State): A versatile player who averaged 8.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
- Jalil Bethea (Miami): A guard who started 16 games last season and contributed 7.1 points per game.
With a solid core and these new additions, Oats is clearly focused on building a roster capable of making a deep tournament run.
