The Arizona Cardinals are deep into a multi-year rebuild under head coach Jonathan Gannon and approached the draft with the goal of adding impact players to elevate their roster this season.
Current outlook: Most draft analysts graded the Cardinals’ selections at a “B” or higher.
While the team didn’t address every need, The Arizona Republic noted it’s difficult to argue that Arizona hasn’t put together a roster capable of contending for the playoffs, thanks to both their draft choices and free-agent additions.

Spotlight: First-round pick Walter Nolen has drawn comparisons to Eagles standout Jalen Carter, though he’s considered a high-risk, high-reward player. Bleacher Report called him one of the most naturally gifted prospects in the draft.
On the flip side, The Ringer’s Danny Kelly observed that Nolen has immense potential but sometimes plays recklessly, likening his style to a “bull in a china shop.”
In focus: Second-rounder Will Johnson slipped from first-round consideration due to concerns over a possible knee surgery in the future. However, he insists he’s healthy and could make an immediate impact if injuries don’t resurface.
Local highlight: Fan-favorite ASU running back Cam Skattebo was selected in the fourth round by the New York Giants.
