North Carolina’s Hubert Davis Gets Major Transfer Portal News on Sunday

The North Carolina Tar Heels wrapped up their basketball season with a tough early exit, falling to Ole Miss in the NCAA Tournament’s first round after a play-in win over San Diego State to secure the No. 11 seed.

Following the disappointing finish, head coach Hubert Davis quickly turned to the transfer portal to reload, especially after losing several key players—including standout guard RJ Davis, young point guard Elliot Cadeau, and top recruit Ian Jackson.

In a promising development for UNC fans, top transfer Andrej Stojakovic has named the Tar Heels among his final three transfer destinations, per On3’s Joe Tipton.

Stojakovic, the son of former NBA star Peja Stojakovic, began his college career at Stanford and spent last season at Cal, where he broke out by averaging 17.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Over his two collegiate seasons, he’s averaged 12.6 points, 4.0 boards, and 1.3 assists.

Once a five-star recruit and ranked No. 5 among small forwards in his class by 247Sports, Stojakovic would bring immediate scoring punch and pedigree to a UNC team in need of star power. His addition could be a key step toward competing for an ACC title next year.
