NC State basketball head coach Will Wade and his staff were among several programs to express interest in former St. John’s guard Jaiden Glover, according to the player’s agent via CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein earlier this week. However, just over a week after entering the transfer portal with a “do not contact” designation, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound New York native has already ended his recruitment.

Late Wednesday night, Glover announced his commitment to Saint Joseph’s University.

Jaiden Glover, who played as a freshman at St. John’s, is transferring to Saint Joseph’s. The 6’4″ shooting guard appeared in 22 games last season, averaging 2.2 points in 6.4 minutes per contest. He originally joined the Red Storm as a four-star recruit.

Prior to committing, Glover also drew interest from programs like Kentucky, Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, St. Bonaventure, Creighton, and others. He now joins head coach Billy Lange, who is entering his seventh season with the Hawks.

Glover, ranked No. 55 in the 2024 class by 247Sports Composite, had a freshman season marred by injuries at St. John’s.

In the meantime, NC State appears close to securing its fourth transfer this offseason, with former Butler forward Colt Langdon’s recent visit prompting several insiders to project the Wolfpack as the frontrunner to land him.
