Top talented quarterback has announced that he is committing to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. After entering the transfer portal in December, Morehead spent the spring semester without a team.
His commitment will make room for Zach Pyron, who had joined the Gophers in December but recently transferred out of the program when the transfer portal reopened earlier this month.
Morehead arrives at Minnesota with 16 games of experience, all of which were played at Boston College from 2021 to 2023. Over his career, he has completed 136 of 238 pass attempts, a 57.1% completion rate, for 1,465 yards and 10 touchdowns, along with six interceptions.
Last offseason, Morehead transferred to Old Dominion with hopes of competing for the starting quarterback role, but he did not win the job and ended up not seeing any action during the Monarchs’ 2024 season.
