BREAKING: Indiana Hoosiers beat prominent programs to land physically gifted player

Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers have secured one of their top defensive recruits for the 2026 class. Ohio prospect has committed to Indiana, turning down offers from Miami (FL), Rutgers, Iowa, Purdue, and several others. The 6’1″ player from Grandview Heights High School in Ohio is the second commitment for the Hoosiers in this class.

While Rivals lists Ohlinger as a running back, Hoosier Huddle has confirmed that the plan is for him to play linebacker in Bryant Haines’ defensive scheme.

Ohlinger visited Bloomington multiple times and was impressed by both the Indiana program and defensive coordinator Bryant Haines.

Rivals ranks Ohlinger as the 30th best prospect in Ohio, but his offer list reflects his high regard among coaching staffs nationwide. He had an outstanding high school career at Grandview Heights, a small school in Ohio, racking up over 1,500 yards and 27 touchdowns on offense, along with five tackles for loss and two interceptions on defense.
