“Elyjah Freeman is the definition of a late bloomer,” said Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl. “He was under the radar in high school, but he made the most of his opportunity at Lincoln Memorial. As a freshman, he emerged as one of the top offensive talents in Division II. Elyjah’s work ethic, determination, and natural instincts set him apart. He has the frame of a forward but will slot into a big guard role for us at Auburn. He’s got an incredible support system at home and was one of the top young players we saw in the portal this year.”

Originally from Palm Beach, Florida, Freeman made a name for himself at Wellington High School, where he was a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
