Kentucky head coach Mark Pope continues to reshape the 2025–26 roster and is now turning his attention overseas in search of backcourt talent. After already securing frontcourt help from Europe with the commitment of Andrija Jelavic, Pope and his staff are now focused on two promising European guards: Dame Sarr from Italy and Harun Zrno of Bosnia.

Sarr, a 6-foot-8 guard, is a high-level prospect who’s already drawing NBA interest, with some projecting him as a potential first-round pick in this year’s draft. Known for his combination of shooting ability, athleticism, and standout defense, Sarr is a two-way force. Landing him won’t be easy given his draft buzz, but there is reported mutual interest between Sarr and Kentucky.
Meanwhile, Zrno is a 6-foot-7 sharpshooter with a knack for scoring over defenders. He’s currently planning visits to Villanova and Miami, signaling his intention to go the college route. If Kentucky can manage to get him on campus, the Wildcats could be in serious contention for his commitment.
With Kentucky looking to add one or two more guards to solidify the backcourt, either Sarr or Zrno would be major pickups. Europe continues to produce elite basketball talent, and Pope’s willingness to scout internationally shows his commitment to building a well-rounded, competitive roster.
Keep an eye on Sarr and Zrno—these are two names Kentucky fans should be watching closely in the coming days.
