BREAKING: Florida Panthers Take Another Major Bold Step..

Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the team has signed forward Jack Devine to a three-year, entry-level deal beginning with the 2025-26 season.

“Jack is a dynamic skater with elite offensive skills who has consistently stood out during his collegiate career at the University of Denver,” said Zito. “We’re excited to welcome him to the Panthers organization.”

Devine, 21, recently completed a standout season with the University of Denver Pioneers, playing in 44 games and leading the NCAA with 44 assists and 57 total points (13 goals, 44 assists). His performance earned him First Team All-American honors, along with his second straight appearance as a Hobey Baker Award Top-10 finalist and a spot on the NCHC First Team All-Star roster. He also helped Denver reach the Frozen Four for the third time in his college career, contributing to wins over Providence and Boston College in the NCAA Tournament.

Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 173 pounds, the Glencoe, Illinois native played 162 games over four seasons (2021-2025) at Denver, tallying 163 points (57 goals, 106 assists). In the 2023-24 season, he led the team in scoring with 27 goals and 56 points, ranking seventh in the nation. His 20th goal came in just 23 games, making him the fastest player in the program’s modern era to hit that milestone. He earned NCAA (West) First Team All-American honors that season and captured two national championships during his college career—one as a freshman, where he recorded an assist in the title game against Minnesota State, and another as a junior.

Before joining the NCAA ranks, Devine played in 42 games over two seasons (2019-21) with the US National Team Development Program in the USHL, where he notched 34 points (7 goals, 27 assists).

Drafted by the Panthers in the seventh round (221st overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft, Devine also represented Team USA at the 2021 IIHF U20 World Junior Championship.
