Nebraska football left a strong impression on Kamron Wilson, a four-star edge rusher from Florida, during his weekend visit — his first time on campus. The 2026 prospect is expected to return for another visit down the line.
Although Wilson committed to Syracuse on March 30, he’s now exploring other options. He’s coming off a standout junior year, with 118 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, and a forced fumble — performances that earned him Miami Herald All-Dade first-team defensive honors.
Florida State is also a serious contender in his recruitment. Nebraska defensive line coach Terrence Knighton has been actively involved in Wilson’s recruitment and maintains ties with the Seminoles, as highlighted by FSU Wire’s JD McCarthy.
Despite the FSU interest, Wilson is drawn to Nebraska’s strong Florida ties. In an interview with Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese, he remarked on the program’s growing Florida presence, saying:
“[I] see why they call it Flobraska everybody from the crib up here”
Nebraska has been targeting Florida talent in recent recruiting cycles, and flipping Wilson from Syracuse would be a big win for a defense that’s rapidly adding high-level players.
