The Bucky McMillan era is kicking off on a high note for the Texas A&M Aggies.
On Saturday, the team secured its first commitment since hiring their new head coach, with Northern Alabama guard Jacari Lane announcing his decision to join the program.
McMillan did it again, landing his second commitment of the weekend in Kansas Jayhawks senior forward.
Standing at 6-foot-11 and weighing 225 pounds, Clemence was a highly regarded prospect from Sunrise Christian Academy in the 2021 recruiting class. He was ranked No. 36 nationally by ESPN, No. 46 by Rivals, and No. 66 in the On3 Industry Ranking, earning four-star status across all major recruiting platforms.

However, Clemence struggled to find a consistent role in the Kansas Jayhawks’ rotation, largely due to injuries. Even when healthy, he saw limited playing time. As a freshman, he appeared in 24 games, averaging 2.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in just under five minutes per game. His sophomore season saw similar numbers, with 1.4 points and 1.3 rebounds over 20 games and 5.6 minutes per contest.
He redshirted the 2023-24 season and was granted a medical redshirt after playing in eight games due to injury. Over his time with Kansas, Clemence posted career averages of 1.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 5.2 minutes per game, shooting 36.1% from the field and 23.8% from beyond the arc.
Now with the Aggies, Clemence has two years of eligibility remaining.
