TCU Makes Historic Hailey Van Lith Announcement

The TCU women’s basketball team experienced significant success this past season, thanks to the leadership of Hailey Van Lith.

For the first time in program history, TCU reached the Elite Eight, where they were defeated by Texas. Prior to that, they triumphed over Notre Dame, Louisville, and FDU in the NCAA Tournament.

Despite the loss, TCU capped off the tournament with a groundbreaking announcement about Van Lith.

The standout guard was named a consensus All-American, becoming the first player in TCU history to achieve this honor.

 

Hailey Van Lith Details Overcoming Suicidal Thoughts

 

Van Lith has received All-American accolades from the AP, USBWA, WBCA and Wooden Award.

During her lone season with the TCU Horned Frogs, Van Lith averaged 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, leading the team in average points and assists.

Before joining the TCU Horned Frogs for her fifth season of college basketball, Van Lith spent one season with the LSU Tigers and three seasons with the Louisville Cardinals.

She is now expected to enter the WNBA draft, where she’s projected to be one of the top prospects, thanks to her impressive achievements throughout her five years in college.

Although TCU’s season didn’t conclude with a championship or trophy, Van Lith is certain to leave a lasting legacy with the Horned Frogs.
