Huge boost: Another highly rated super talent transfer to TCU Horned Frogs

The TCU Women’s Basketball season ended on Monday in the Elite Eight, the final collegiate game for many of its star players, but coach Mark Campbell and staff hit the ground running into the offseason tasked to rebuild the roster and bring the program to even greater heights in 2025-26. The first official move of the of the offseason came via the transfer portal on Tuesday as TCU reportedly earned the commitment of Kentucky center.

The 6-foot-7 prospect from Faro, Portugal has been competing internationally since 2021 and was a standout performer in the 2023 and 2024 U18 European competitions. In the 2024 U18 Women’s EuroBasket, she averaged 18.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, showcasing her dominant presence on the court.

During her true freshman season at Kentucky, Silva appeared in 31 games, averaging 4 points (shooting 56.5% from the field), 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in just over 12 minutes per game. She played a key role in helping the Wildcats reach the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. After her first two collegiate games, Silva was named SEC Freshman of the Week, with a combined total of 32 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 11 blocks. With three years of eligibility remaining, Silva will now join the Horned Frogs, stepping in to fill the Center position following the departures of Sedona Prince and Deasia Merrill, who both exhausted their collegiate eligibility.
