The Gonzaga Bulldogs were among several top programs that reached out early to North Dakota transfer, but the 6’6″ wing has chosen to join Lamont Paris and the South Carolina Gamecocks, as reported by Joe Tipton of On3.
Tipton notes that Eaglestaff opted for South Carolina over Gonzaga Bulldogs
A 6’6″ wing from Bismarck, Eaglestaff spent the last three seasons with the Bison, concluding his junior year by averaging 18.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 35.9% from beyond the arc on 7.1 attempts per game.
Eaglestaff had several standout performances this season, including a 40-point game against Alabama and a 51-point performance against South Dakota State in the Summit League Tournament.

For Gonzaga, it’s another high-profile player opting for a power conference program, following the departures of Donovan Dent to UCLA and Owen Freeman to Creighton.
The Zags are eyeing several players in the transfer portal, including Bryce Lindsay and Izaiah Pasha. With the loss of four starters—Ryan Nembhard, Nolan Hickman, Khalif Battle, and Ben Gregg—to graduation, along with three players—Dusty Stromer, Michael Ajayi, and Jun Seok Yeo—transferring out, the coaching staff will have a busy offseason ahead.
Despite the early losses of some big-name targets, Gonzaga is expected to bring in plenty of transfers to Spokane in the coming weeks.
