Freshman has announced her decision to enter the transfer portal after only a year with Arizona Women’s Basketball.
“I want to thank the University of Arizona, the coaching staff, and my teammates, and all the fans for their support during my time as a Wildcat,” said Swann. “I’ve grown so much both on and off the court, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories and experiences I’ve had here. After careful consideration, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal and begin a new chapter in my journey. Thank you, Arizona, for everything!”
Swann’s freshman year definitely made a strong impression! Earning a spot on the 2025 Big 12 All-Freshman Team and two Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors reflects how much of an impact she had in her first year. Averaging 8.0 points per game across 31 games, with 12 games in double digits, highlights her consistency and ability to contribute to her team. Her career-high of 22 points against Utah and key performances, like leading Arizona to a win over UNLV, further emphasize her talent.

It’s also interesting to see that Swann isn’t the only one in the transfer portal—Jada Williams, Skylar Jones, Breya Cunningham, Ajae Yoakum, Katarina Knezevic, and Jorynn Ross are joining her. This could signal a lot of changes for the team moving forward. Do you know if there’s any speculation about where these players might be heading next, or what prompted such a significant move?
