Sad news: Colorado State Rams lose another star player in transfer portal nightmare

Freshman forward  has declared his intention to transfer from the Colorado State men’s basketball program.

Standing 6-foot-8 and weighing 220 pounds, he played a limited role during the 2024-25 season, participating in seven games for a total of 12 minutes.

Rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN, Steppe came from Tualatin High School in Oregon, where he helped his team secure two consecutive state championships.

He made his transfer announcement on X Monday and still has three years of eligibility left.

Steppe entering the portal isn’t an unexpected move, and a potential role for him as a Ram next season was uncertain.
