Avalanche have made a move to bolster their depth by signing another talented forward with a strong collegiate background, to a one-year, entry-level contract. After a standout season at the University of Maine, where he put up impressive numbers (30 points, including 18 goals), he’ll be reporting to the in the AHL for the remainder of the current season.
His performance this year really caught attention, especially with his six game-winning goals and personal bests in both goals and assists. His strong showing in the Hockey East Championship, where he scored two goals to help Maine secure an automatic NCAA Tournament bid, certainly added to his stock. Given his connection to Cale Makar, the Avalanche defenseman, this could be a storyline to follow as Taylor looks to make an impact at the professional level.

His transition from the AJHL with the Brooks Bandits to NCAA hockey, and now to the AHL, shows his steady growth and readiness to take the next step in his career. It’s exciting to see what he can bring to the table, especially with his size and offensive upside at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds.
