Dylan Ruiz, a 6’4″ defensive end from the University of Miami. Ruiz had 12 tackles and 2 sacks in limited action for the Hurricanes last season.

-Tyler Smith*, a 6’2″ defensive tackle from the University of Louisville. Smith had 20 tackles and 1 sack for the Cardinals last season.

In addition to defensive linemen, the Bearcats are also targeting other positions through the transfer portal. Some other players who have visited campus include:

– *Jamal Shuler*, a 6’1″ wide receiver from the University of South Carolina. Shuler had 23 catches for 312 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Gamecocks last season.

– *Chris Harris*, a 6’0″ safety from the University of Alabama. Harris had 15 tackles and 1 interception for the Crimson Tide last season.

The addition of these players through the transfer portal could have a significant impact on the Bearcats’ 2025 season. With experienced players like Ruiz, Smith, Shuler, and Harris joining the roster, Cincinnati could see an immediate boost in talent and depth.
