South Carolina Gamecocks receive unfortunate news regarding star forward

Former Alabama player is exploring all of his options for the 2025-26 season.

After spending the 2024-25 season at South Carolina, the star forward has re-entered the NCAA transfer portal and is also planning to evaluate his prospects in the NBA Draft.

Pringle is well-versed in navigating the transfer portal. He began his collegiate career at Wofford during the 2020-21 season before transferring to Alabama for two years. He then joined South Carolina for the 2024-25 season.

As a true freshman at Wofford, Pringle played 92 minutes across 15 games off the bench, averaging 2 points per game.

In his first season at Alabama, Pringle contributed from the bench under Nate Oats, logging 288 minutes in 36 appearances. He averaged 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.

Pringle took on a bigger role in the 2023-24 season, although his time at Alabama wasn’t without controversy. He faced two suspensions under Oats and was seen flying commercially to the 2024 NCAA Tournament, rather than traveling with the team. Still, his minutes and production grew to 625 minutes over 34 games, including 16 starts. He averaged 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds for the Crimson Tide, who reached the Final Four.

Despite South Carolina’s struggles, the 2024-25 season marked the best of Pringle’s career. He started all 32 games, averaging 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
