
Eduards Tralmaks, a forward, signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Detroit Red Wings today for the 2025–2026 campaign.
With 23 goals (1st), 28 assists (1st), 51 points (1st), a plus-four rating (T1st), 66 penalty minutes (1st), two power play goals (T7th), 13 power play points (2nd), two shorthanded goals (1st), two game-winning goals (T1st), and 143 shots (T2nd) in 48 games, Tralmaks, 28, played for Rytíři Kladno in the Czech Extraliga during the 2024–25 season.
In the best professional league in Czechia, he had the most points of any player with 51. Throughout the 2023–24 season, the 6-foot-4, 209-pound forward played for Rytíři Kladno, scoring 32 points (21-11-32) and 34 penalty minutes in 52 games during the regular season and five points (3-2-5) in four tournament games. Tralmaks has also accrued 42 penalty minutes, a plus-23 rating, and 41 points (22-19-41) in 87 games throughout portions of three seasons with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League from 2020–23.
Prior to turning professional, Tralmaks played four seasons at the University of Maine from 2017-21, compiling 82 points (39-43-82), a plus-22 rating and 102 penalty minutes in 119 games.

During the 2016-17 season, he tallied 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) and accumulated 12 penalty minutes over the course of 46 games with the Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League. Tralmaks earned the MVP title of the Clark Cup Playoffs after guiding the Steel to their inaugural championship, where he recorded 12 points (10 goals, 2 assists) across 14 playoff games. The native of Riga, Latvia, contributed to his nation’s qualification for the 2026 Winter Olympics, scoring one goal in three matches during the final qualifying round. Additionally, Tralmaks represented Latvia at the 2024 IIHF World Championship, notching two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in seven games.Furthermore, Tralmaks recorded two assists and accumulated 27 penalty minutes over six games in the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship, as well as notching three points (1-2-3) and 25 penalty minutes in six games at the 2015 IIHF World Under-18 Championship.
