After three weeks of spring practice, Alabama has shifted its focus toward the 2025 season and the 2026 recruiting class. While much attention is on the quarterback competition in Tuscaloosa, the coaching staff is also making waves with 2026 prospects. One notable recruit, a cornerback is predicted by On3’s Steve Wiltfong to commit to Alabama. Edmonds, ranked as the No. 17 player in the nation and the No. 2 cornerback in the country according to the On3 Industry Rankings, hails from Marietta, Georgia.

He has visited Tuscaloosa six times, with Georgia hosting him on four occasions. Edmonds has lined up three official visits, including one to Georgia on May 30, another to Tennessee on June 13, and a final visit to Alabama on June 20. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound athlete caught 62 passes for 648 yards and four touchdowns while also recording 30 tackles and a tackle for loss. Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 15 nationally, with just three commitments. All three commits are four-stars, with Zyan Gibson leading the group as the No. 62 player in the country and the No. 10 cornerback. EDGE Jamarion Matthews is ranked No. 203, and Chris Booker, the No. 28 interior offensive lineman, rounds out the class.
