
Six USD Coyotes Players Depart from Team
the University of South Dakota’s athletic department has announced that six players from the Coyotes football team have departed from the program.
According to a statement released by Head Coach Bob Nielson, the players’ decisions to leave were made for various personal reasons.
“We appreciate the contributions these young men made to our program during their time here,” said Coach Nielson. “We wish them the best in their future endeavors.”
The departed players include:
Two starters on offenseWide receiver, Canyon Bauer, and left tackle, Alex Jensen.
Two defensive starters Linebacker, Jake Richardson, and safety, Elijah Reed.
Quarterback, Cole Stetz, and defensive lineman, Ethan Hawthorne.

The Coyotes’ coaching staff is now working to fill the gaps left by the departing players. The team is expected to rely on younger players and newcomers to step up and fill the vacant positions.
The USD Coyotes are set to begin their spring practice schedule soon, and fans will be keeping a close eye on how the team adapts to these changes.
