Indianapolis Colts land massive deal for 28-year-old talented CB

The Indianapolis Colts have bolstered their secondary with the signing of veteran cornerback, the team announced today.  The conerback who enters his sixth season in the NFL, joins the Colts after a productive stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played a key role in their defense.

The agreement is part of the Colts’ ongoing efforts to strengthen their defense ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Ballentine brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the team’s defensive backfield, having played for the New York Giants and Chiefs in previous seasons.

The 28-year-old was originally selected by the Giants in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Over the course of his career, he has developed a reputation for his strong coverage skills and special teams contributions. With 49 career tackles, 1 interception, and multiple pass defenses to his name, the Colts are hoping his proven abilities can help shore up their secondary.

Ballentine’s addition follows several other moves by the Colts to strengthen their defense, including acquiring a pair of talented edge rushers earlier in the offseason. The Colts’ defense, which has been a focal point of the team’s offseason strategy, is expected to play a crucial role in their hopes of returning to playoff contention.

In addition to his defensive prowess, Ballentine’s leadership in the locker room will be key for a young Colts roster aiming to develop both on and off the field.

Corey Ballentine will wear No. 29 for the Colts and is expected to make an immediate impact in the upcoming season. Fans can look forward to seeing him suit up as the team begins training camp this summer.
