Georgia football has remained at five commits for their 2026 recruiting class for a while, but it’s only a matter of time before that number rises.
Kirby Smart and his staff have been doing a fantastic job over the past month and a half, positioning themselves well with many of the top recruits across the country. However, they’ve had to exercise patience as they await their next commitment. Fortunately, the period when most recruits announce their decisions is nearing, so Georgia fans won’t have to wait much longer.
Four-star linebacker is a top target for Georgia, and it appears he is high on UGA as well. This is a great sign because Abrams just announced when he will be committing later this summer.

According to Ryan O’Bleness, Abrams will be announcing his committment later in July on the 16th.
Abrams has revealed his top 10 schools, which include Georgia, along with Alabama, Duke, Michigan State, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. He plans to visit all 10 schools this spring, including a trip to Athens.
While Abrams hasn’t disclosed which schools he will visit officially later this summer, he will likely make that decision after his spring visits to his 10 finalists. However, Georgia has to be optimistic about their chances, especially considering the competition. While there are some strong programs involved, there are also others that UGA should feel confident competing against.
These 10 spring visits are going to happen fast for Abrams, so stay tuned as more concrete info about his recruitment will come out once these visits start occurring.
