ECU went 2-2 at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Clemson last weekend, defeating Lafayette twice via run rule but falling short against Clemson and Indiana. Anna Sawyer had a standout performance at the plate, posting a .667/1.000/.778 slash line and recording a hit in five of the Pirates’ six games, including three multi-hit games, earning AAC Honorable Mention honors. Kanisha Anderson continues her strong start to the season, leading the team with a .520 batting average and already tallying three triples (14th in NCAA). Morgan Johnson has also found her form, hitting four home runs and driving in nine RBI last week. ECU’s offense has been heating up, with nine of the team’s 20 home runs coming in the six games played last week.
