The Toronto Blue Jays continue to struggle with injuries as another player goes down, this time left-handed pitcher Amir Garrett. Last month, the Blue Jays signed Garrett to a minor league contract with an invite to major league Spring Training, offering another left-handed relief option.
Earlier today, @JohnnyGiunta_ reported that Garrett left yesterday’s game against the New York Yankees due to an undisclosed injury. Garrett entered in the sixth inning, allowing 3 earned runs on 3 hits with no strikeouts before signaling for the training staff.
This marks a tough start for Garrett in his Blue Jays tenure, and while the team has been plagued with injuries this spring, none have affected their starting pitchers. Garrett’s injury details remain unknown, but the team has confirmed he is currently sidelined.
