Bengals Hold Formal Meeting with Star Tight End at NFL Combine

The Cincinnati Bengals are attending the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, which is also being attended by most other NFL teams this week. They are focused on finding players to strengthen their roster for the upcoming NFL Draft in April.

Although there are multiple areas of focus in Indianapolis this week, the Bengals are especially interested in upgrading their tight end position. There’s one specific player they believe could make an impact in 2025 and in the future.

“Tyler Warren proved himself to be in a class of his own at the tight end position in 2024,” Cummings wrote. “His versatility and blocking utility alone will win over coaches, but he also has an incredible clutch gene that’ll make him an instant go-to target for Joe Burrow.”

Anyone that could make Joe Burrow better seems to be an obvious target for the Bengals. Burrow is already a top quarterback in the league, but he can never have too many targets.

On Thursday from the Combine, Warren credited his time at Penn State for helping him grow as a player.

“I’d say when I got to Penn State, I wasn’t really a fully developed tight end yet and I had to really kind of wait my turn and learn from the guys in front of me, understanding that I wasn’t at the point where I needed to be to be able to play and contribute,” Warren said. “And trusting the process, — everybody’s looks different. Mine took a few years until I really got into the flow of college football.”
