BREAKING: Cleveland Browns Fire Kevin stefanski

Cleveland Browns have announced the dismissal of head coach Kevin Stefanski. This decision comes on the heels of a challenging 2024 season, where the team finished with a 3-14 record, marking their worst performance since 2017.

Stefanski, who took the helm in 2020, led the Browns to two playoff appearances and was honored as NFL Coach of the Year in both 2020 and 2023. Despite these achievements, the recent season’s struggles, exacerbated by significant injuries—including quarterback Deshaun Watson’s season-ending Achilles tear—have prompted the organization to seek new leadership.

Throughout the season, there was speculation regarding Stefanski’s job security. In November 2024, reports suggested that the Browns intended to retain him for the 2025 season, with Stefanski himself downplaying external “hot seat” discussions. However, the team’s continued underperformance and internal evaluations have led to a change in direction.

General Manager Andrew Berry, who, along with Stefanski, signed a contract extension in June 2024, remains with the organization. The Browns’ front office is now tasked with identifying a new head coach to steer the team toward a more successful trajectory in the upcoming season.

As the search for a new head coach begins, the Browns aim to revitalize their strategy and performance, hoping to meet the high expectations set by their passionate fan base.
