The UConn Huskies have not fully met the preseason expectations while defending their 2024 NCAA Basketball Championship, entering this weekend with an 18-8 record. Coach Dan Hurley has garnered significant attention for his actions on and off the court this season, using his enthusiasm for the game to lead the team to another successful year in Storrs, CT.
Hurley provided a personal life update that was watched over 200,000 times, where the well-known coach discussed his life’s journey, which he details in his latest book, Never Stop. ESPN host Molly Qerim followed up with a six-word message expressing her thoughts to the two-time championship-winning coach.
“I’ve confronted a lot of adversity on my life’s journey and I’m proud to share those stories – along with my leadership philosophies in building championship teams at UConn – in my book ‘Never Stop,'” Hurley wrote.
“I’m writing this to help people overcome & succeed.” Qerim indicated her excitement over the book in a six-word message to Hurley. “Can’t wait to read it Coach!!” she said.
Hurley’s Huskies are set to face the St. John’s Red Storm on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This game presents an opportunity for the Huskies to secure a key victory over Coach Rick Pitino’s No. 10-ranked team, which would boost their tournament resume.
