Broncos to Land Surprise Trade for 49ers All-Pro to Pair With Bo Nix

The Denver Broncos had a solid first season with rookie quarterback Bo Nix, and his role in the offense under Sean Payton was exciting to watch. For the Broncos to make a return to the playoffs, they’ll need to build on this success, but with Nix and Payton leading the offense, they’re in a promising spot. Still, the Broncos could benefit from additional offensive support for Nix, who has shown he’s worth trading some assets for to improve the team both short- and long-term. One name recently connected to the Broncos is talented wide receiver from the San Francisco 49ers, who has faced struggles in recent seasons.

Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News predicted the Broncos might acquire him in a trade with the 49ers this offseason, noting how he could thrive in Payton’s system.

NFL Just Gave 49ers Amazing News That Helps Deebo Samuel Situation

“Samuel would be used well in Denver, with Sean Payton and Joe Lombardi designing special packages for him on top of favorable complementary receiving work opposite Courtland Sutton. Samuel needs a change from a winning, veteran-filled locker room, and this would give him a chance to reset as a leader for a youthful up-and-coming contender,” Iyer wrote.

Any potential trade involving Samuel should be evaluated based on the assets required. If the Broncos could acquire him for a third or fourth-round pick, it would seem like a fair deal. However, if the cost goes beyond that, they might be overpaying, considering his current contract and occasional inconsistencies in his performance.
