ECU PIRATES FOOTBALL RECRUITING: PIRATES LAND COVETED QB PROSPECT
The East Carolina University Pirates football program has secured a major commitment from one of the top quarterback prospects in the nation.
According to multiple sources, 4-star quarterback recruit, Tyler Harris, has verbally committed to play for the Pirates. Harris, a 6’3″ dual-threat quarterback from nearby Fayetteville, North Carolina, chose ECU over offers from several other Power Five programs, including NC State, Virginia Tech, and Louisville.
Harris is widely regarded as one of the top quarterback prospects in the class of 2025, boasting a strong arm, exceptional athleticism, and outstanding leadership skills. He threw for over 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior, leading his high school team to a state championship appearance.
“Tyler is an exceptional talent, and we’re thrilled to have him join our Pirate family,” said ECU head coach, Mike Houston. “He possesses all the physical and intangible qualities we look for in a quarterback, and we’re confident he’ll be a key contributor to our program’s success in the years to come.”
Harris’s commitment is a significant coup for the Pirates, who are looking to build on their momentum from last season’s bowl appearance. With Harris on board, ECU’s recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best in the American Athletic Conference.
