As Super Bowl LIX’s first half wound down, Barkley achieved another milestone by surpassing Terrell Davis’s record for the most rushing yards in a single NFL season. The newly crowned Offensive Player of the Year finished his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles with 2,504 rushing yards, 353 receiving yards, and 20 total touchdowns.

Despite this remarkable season, the Kansas City Chiefs were able to limit Barkley on Super Bowl Sunday, holding him to 57 rushing yards on 25 carries and six receptions for 40 yards.

However, Philadelphia didn’t need their star running back to dominate the game. The Eagles opened with 34 unanswered points and cruised to a 40-22 victory, securing the franchise’s second Super Bowl title.
