Another highly regarded player committed to Washington, according to a report from On3sports. The talented player who will be a redshirt senior, appeared in 13 games during his time at Tulane, completing 64 of 123 passes for 853 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions. A three-star recruit coming out of Carthage (Texas) High School, He was ranked as the 27th-best pro-style quarterback in the nation by 247Sports. At Carthage, he led his team to consecutive 4A state titles in his junior and senior years.
Next season, Washington’s expected starting quarterback is Demond Williams Jr., who started the Huskies’ final two games as a true freshman. Williams had an outstanding performance in the 35-34 loss to Louisville in the Sun Bowl, throwing for 374 yards, four touchdowns, and rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown. On the season, he completed 82 of 105 passes for 944 yards and eight touchdowns, with just one interception, while also rushing for 282 yards and two touchdowns.
UW had little experience behind Williams on the roster. Shea Kuykendall, who will be a fourth-year junior, did not play for UW after spending two seasons at Northern Colorado, where he appeared in four total games and passed for 454 yards and two touchdowns. Also on UW’s roster are two quarterbacks who will be true freshmen next season but who enrolled at Washington this month: Dash Beierly and Treston “Kini” McMillan.
