He comes to the Mountaineers after playing at JUCO program Citrus College, where he posted 26 tackles (10.5 TFL), 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in 9 games during the 2024 season. Prior to his time at Citrus, Eck started his collegiate career at Division II Black Hills State. As a true freshman, he appeared in all 11 games for the Yellow Jackets, recording 13 tackles (8.5 TFL), 8.5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles.
In his senior year at Apple Valley High School in California, Eck recorded 61 tackles and an impressive 20 sacks over the course of a 15-game season.
