Offensive lineman at Georgia Tech, has decided to continue his football career elsewhere. He announced that he plans to transfer from the school. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound sophomore spent three seasons with the Yellow Jackets. Best, a three-star recruit in the 2022 class from Milton High School according to the 247Sports Composite, saw limited playing time during his tenure. As a freshman, he participated in 21 special-teams plays across four games.
In 2023, he played 13 offensive snaps in three games and 69 special-teams snaps. This past season, he appeared in 21 offensive plays and 67 special-teams snaps. Best joins a list of other players who have left Tech this offseason, including offensive linemen Kai Greer, Patrick Screws, Corey Robinson, and Jordan Brown, running backs Trey Cooley and Evan Dickens, linebackers Jacob Cruz and Caleb Dozier, defensive backs Jayden Davis and Taye Seymore, defensive linemen Horace Lockett, Uche Iloh, and Romello Height, wide receivers Eric Singleton Jr., Christian Leary, and Leo Blackburn, as well as quarterback Zach Pyron. On the other hand, Tech has brought in several new players for the 2025 season, including punter Marshall Nichols, running back Malachi Hosley, defensive ends A.J. Hoffler, Brayden Manley, and Ronald Triplette, long snapper Luke Whiting, linebackers Melvin Jordan IV and Cayden Spaulding, defensive tackle Matthew Alexander, tight ends Harry Lodge and J.T. Byrne, wide receivers Debron Gatling, Dean Patterson, and Eric Rivers, offensive linemen Andrew Rosinski and JaKolby Jones, and defensive backs Kelvin Hill and Daiquan White.
