Georgia Bulldogs tight end Oscar Delp has officially announced that he will be returning to Athens for his senior season in 2025. Delp made the announcement in style, posting a hype video to his Instagram account with the caption “Let’s get it.”
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end had a solid junior year, recording 21 receptions for 248 yards and four touchdowns. His standout performance came in Georgia’s 31-17 victory over Tennessee, where he caught four passes for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
Delp’s decision to return is especially significant as the Bulldogs look ahead to a quarterback change. Gunner Stockton is expected to take over as QB1, replacing Carson Beck. Delp and Stockton, who have become close friends and roommates over the past two years, will look to continue their strong chemistry on the field.
“He’s an awesome roommate,” Delp said of Stockton ahead of Georgia’s Sugar Bowl appearance against Notre Dame. “Super clean. Brings good food to the house always. He’s a great guy. We just hang out in the living room, we all play games, hang out and have fun.”
With Delp’s return, Georgia’s tight end room remains strong for 2025. Rising junior Lawson Luckie, who led the tight ends in 2024 with 24 catches for 348 yards and three touchdowns, will also return, adding further depth to the position. Additionally, rising sophomore Jaden Reddell and incoming four-star freshmen Elyiss Williams and Ethan Barbour will join the group, giving the Bulldogs a bright future at tight end.
Delp’s decision to stay for one more season is a major boost to Georgia’s offense as they prepare for another championship run.
