RECRUITING: 4-star Edge Marco Jones commits to Texas A&M Aggies - Good Bull Hunting

Marco Jones, a Top247 edge rusher from San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, California, and Texas A&M signee, has had an outstanding high school career, consistently posting impressive stats. On the eve of his participation in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl on Saturday, Jones received a major honor. During the awards ceremony Friday night, he was named the Navy All-American Bowl Defensive Player of the Year.

As a senior, Jones recorded 125 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, and 10 1/2 sacks, capping off a standout season.

“I think the thing that’s going to stand out the most is production in this defensive line class,” Aggies coach Mike Elko said of Jones previously. “Marco had 440 tackles on his career, 53 TFLs, 14 sacks, seven forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and six interceptions. He’s also an elite baseball player. He’s going to bring his talent across the street to Blue Bell Park as well. He was the Cal High State Junior of the Year in 2023. So you’re talking about just an elite football player. He’ll also play in the Navy All-American Bowl.”

Jones triumphed over several elite defenders to claim the award, including fellow Texas A&M signee Noah Mikhail, as well as Christian Jones, Chuck McDonald, and Grayson linebacker Tyler Atkinson.

Jones is only the second player from his high school to be selected for the Navy All-American Bowl, making the achievement even more special. “It’s been cool just having the opportunity. One guy has been able to do it, so not too many,” Jones reflected. “But it’s been cool being one of the only people in my school to have done it.”

The All-American Bowl will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC. Jones will compete for the West team, joining Mikhail and several other Texas A&M signees, including Adonyss Currie, Lamont Rogers, Chace Sims, and Kiotti Armstrong.
