On saturdayy, Utah State running back transfer  announced his commitment to South Carolina. He chose the Gamecocks over offers from Florida State, Alabama, North Carolina, UCLA, and UCF.

Although Faison visited Florida State last weekend, he continued to explore other options. It’s possible that FSU may seek another transfer in the spring window.

Faison had a standout 2024 season at Utah State, rushing 198 times for 1,109 yards and eight touchdowns, while also catching 22 passes for 99 yards. He posted five games with over 100 rushing yards, including a career-best performance with 191 yards and a touchdown in a 55-10 win against Hawaii. His strong play earned him second-team All-Mountain West honors.

In his first season at Utah State, Faison rushed 118 times for 736 yards and five touchdowns. Over his two years with the Aggies, he appeared in 25 games, starting 13, and totaled 316 carries for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also catching 33 passes for 151 yards.

A native of Pennsylvania, Faison initially signed with Marshall as a two-star prospect in 2019. After a season at Lackawanna College, he joined Marshall for the 2020 season but didn’t appear in any games. He returned to JUCO with Snow College before transferring to Utah State. At Snow, he rushed 88 times for 355 yards and six touchdowns.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back has at least one season of eligibility remaining thanks to the new junior college eligibility rules.
