BREAKING: Texas A&M confirm the departure of top-notch CB

The Lincoln Riley era at USC has not gone as expected, with the Trojans continuing to decline under his leadership. The 2024 season ended disappointingly with a 7-6 record, and fans are beginning to question the former Oklahoma head coach.

As USC heads into the 2025 season, the pressure on Riley is mounting, and they face a crucial offseason as they aim to rebuild the roster into a Big Ten contender. Their efforts have already begun in the transfer portal, where they made a noteworthy addition.

Texas A&M cornerback has committed to USC, as reported by Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

He is the older brother of Husan Longstreet, a five-star quarterback prospect who also signed with USC as part of the 2025 class, which likely played a role in Riley’s successful recruitment of him.

He began his college career at Louisville, where he redshirted during the 2023 season after signing with the Cardinals. He transferred to Texas A&M after that season.

In 2024, Longstreet struggled to secure consistent playing time at Texas A&M, which led him to enter the transfer portal after the season. He appeared in just one game, a dominant 38-3 victory over New Mexico State, where he recorded a single pass breakup. Now, he’ll look to earn more playing time at USC.

His younger brother, Husan Longstreet, was one of the top recruits in the 2025 class. While he isn’t expected to start as a true freshman at USC with Jayden Maiava still in place, he’s seen as the future of the Trojans’ quarterback position. Husan committed to USC shortly after Julian Lewis decommitted and flipped to Colorado. A standout from Centennial High School in California, Husan chose USC over offers from Auburn, Arizona State, and others.
