Oregon Injury Update: Jordan James, Jordan Burch Anticipated to Play vs. Wisconsin

James was knocked out of the game in the first half after suffering a head injury, which he later confirmed to Oregon Ducks on SI. His injury occurred early in the second quarter on a second-down rushing attempt, with the Ducks trailing 17-0 at the time. Noah Whittington stepped in as James’ replacement but struggled against Ohio State’s tough run defense.

Oregon’s typically strong rushing attack was stifled, recording -23 yards when including sack losses, and just 20 rushing yards excluding the sacks—its lowest total of the season. Whittington managed only six carries for three yards and one touchdown, as the Buckeyes’ defense, with 13 tackles for loss, controlled the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense.
