GOOD NEWS: Huge news arrived Friday morning for West Virginia football as star running back announced His is returning to mountaineers in 2025

Big news broke on Friday morning for the West Virginia football program as standout running back  announced he would return for the 2025 season and would not enter the transfer portal.

White had a gradual introduction to the running back role as a true freshman, gaining momentum in the final month of the season. Despite limited playing time, he managed to rush for 842 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 7.7 yards per carry.

In 2024, White continued to share backfield duties with CJ Donaldson but started for much of the year. He posted three 100-yard games, including against Albany, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech. By season’s end, he had accumulated 845 yards and seven touchdowns, along with 19 receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown.

White’s season ended early due to a hamstring injury in the first half of the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl. Thankfully, the injury was not serious, and he is expected to be fully recovered for spring practice. With Donaldson transferring to Ohio State, White is now the clear number-one running back heading into the 2025 season.
