MAJOR BREAKING: Huge boost!! Top defensive linemen in the transfer portal Schedules Visit with West Virginia

One of the top defensive linemen in the transfer portal from Sam Houston, has scheduled a visit to West Virginia for January 5th and 6th. He has been in touch with WVU’s defensive line coach, William Green, who has been leading the recruitment efforts for the Mountaineers.

Securing Murray would be a huge boost for West Virginia’s defensive front, but they face stiff competition. In mid-December, Murray visited Kentucky, Missouri, and Nebraska. Earlier this week, he visited Florida State, and he still has Auburn, Virginia, and West Virginia left on his visit list.

During this past season, Murray recorded 35 tackles, 11.5 TFLs (second in Conference USA), and 5.5 sacks (fourth in Conference USA). He was named to the Conference-USA First Team last month. Murray also posted 34 total pressures and earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 78.1.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.

West Virginia’s current defensive line roster includes Makai Byerson, Oryend Fisher, Nate Gabriel, Elijah Kinsler, Corey McIntyre Jr., Asani Redwood, Hammond Russell IV, Edward Vesterinen, Taylor Brown (incoming freshman), Brandon Caesar (incoming freshman), Amir Leonard-Jean Charles (incoming freshman), Evan Powell (incoming freshman), and Wilnerson Telemaque (incoming freshman).
