Since Mike McDaniel took over as head coach in Miami, the Dolphins have frequently found themselves dealing with injuries. While the defense has been hit hard in past years, this season, several key offensive players have also spent considerable time in the trainer’s room.
Quarterback , who has struggled with numerous injuries, including a series of severe concussions, has already returned from a head injury this season. However, he has now been listed on the injury report again, this time due to a hip issue.
The offensive injuries don’t end with Tagovailoa. Heading into Week 17, one of the Dolphins’ most crucial games of the season, the offense is dealing with multiple injury concerns. A loss in this game would eliminate them from playoff contention.
Here’s a look at the Dolphins’ full injury report ahead of their critical game against the Browns:
Dolphins Injury Report:
- Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Hip
Coach Mike McDaniel described Tagovailoa’s hip injury as “normal wear and tear” due to the long season. Although Tagovailoa played through it last week, he appears to have suffered a setback either in the game or practice, and he has been ruled out for Sunday’s match. - Tyreek Hill, WR, Wrist
Tyreek Hill has been dealing with a persistent wrist injury for several weeks, which he reportedly sustained during an incident with the police earlier in the season. Despite being listed as questionable, Hill will play in Week 17 and continue as one of Tyler Huntley’s main targets in the must-win game. - Jaylen Waddle, WR, Knee
Waddle suffered a knee injury during the Week 15 game against the Texans, which forced him to miss the next game. Although he was able to practice in limited fashion during the week, he will not be available for Week 17. Rookie receiver Malik Washington is expected to step in as a starting wide receiver alongside Hill and Jonnu Smith. - Terron Armstead, OT, Knee
Pro Bowl tackle Terron Armstead has been managing a knee injury for weeks. After missing the last two games following a limited appearance in Week 14, Armstead fully practiced on Friday and will be available to play against the Browns. His return will provide a key boost to the Dolphins’ offensive line.
