Tennessee running back has found a new home for the upcoming season.
On Saturday, Keith announced he would be transferring to Appalachian State to join the Mountaineers’ football program.
During his time at Tennessee, Keith served as a backup running back. In the 2023 season, he recorded 100 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries, but his opportunities were limited with just 10 carries for 21 yards overall.
Keith is expected to make a significant impact at Appalachian State. A four-star recruit out of high school, he was highly anticipated by Vols fans, though his time at Tennessee did not pan out as expected. Had he stayed, Keith would likely have been behind Peyton Lewis, DeSean Bishop, and potentially incoming freshmen on the depth chart.
Keith, a sophomore this season, still has multiple years of eligibility remaining.
