Earlier in the transfer process, Tennessee lost one of their linebackers to the portal, and that player has now revealed his next destination. The linebacker announced on Thursday that he has committed to Mississippi State and will join the Bulldogs for the upcoming season. Smith, who was part of Tennessee’s 2023 recruiting class, has spent the last two years with the Volunteers.
During Jalen Smith time at Tennessee, He served primarily as a reserve, playing in five games as a true freshman and appearing in several more this past season. Over his two years at Tennessee, he recorded 38 total tackles and two tackles for loss.
