HUGE BOOST: NY Yankees fill Juan Soto’s void with three key signings as they Land in Another $200 million three-time All-Star

As New York Yankees fans processed their disappointment over Juan Soto’s move to the Mets, the team made three significant signings that helped ease the frustration—and more moves are expected as the 2025 MLB season approaches.

Despite missing out on Soto, the Yankees quickly focused on strengthening their roster. Within just 10 days of Soto’s move, they announced the signings of three key players, signaling their readiness for the upcoming season. With several talented players available, the Yankees targeted and secured All-Star players to enhance their chances of competing for a championship.

Last Tuesday, the Yankees confirmed the signing of Cody Bellinger from the Chicago Cubs, adding to an already impressive group of offseason acquisitions, including Max Fried (eight years, $218 million) and Devin Williams, who was obtained in a trade that sent Nestor Cortes, Caleb Durbin, and cash considerations to Milwaukee.

These moves are expected to give the team a significant boost for manager Aaron Boone, but the Yankees’ efforts aren’t over. Multiple reports indicate that the team is working on offers for more high-profile players to further strengthen their lineup.

Among the top free agents, the Yankees have set their sights on Alex Bregman, Pete Alonso, Christian Walker, and Anthony Santander. Alonso, in particular, is a key target, as his acquisition could replace Soto’s offensive contribution and provide much-needed power. Bregman is also on the Yankees’ radar, though he’s being pursued by several other teams. The Yankees hope to capitalize on their rich history and near-championship run last season to lure Bregman to New York.

Additionally, the Yankees are exploring trade options to improve their first base position, with potential targets such as Naylor, Lowe, and Diaz in mind. With this aggressive strategy, the Yankees are determined to make a strong push for the World Series in 2025, aiming to end their 15-year championship drought.
