Emergency medical personnel treated DuBose on the field for over 10 minutes, cutting off his jersey and applying a neck brace. As the team showed concern for their teammate, the entire Dolphins sideline gathered in prayer, with head coach Mike McDaniel visibly emotional.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa expressed his regret over the incident, saying, “It was very unfortunate. Very tough to have seen live. I feel bad that I even put him in that situation to have gotten hit. It was tough to move on after that happened.”

DuBose, a seventh-round pick in 2023, was eventually immobilized with a spine board and taken off the field on a stretcher. The Dolphins later confirmed that he was in stable condition and undergoing further evaluation at a Houston hospital, where he would stay overnight.

Teammate Tyreek Hill reflected on the scary moment, saying, “Just being on the field, seeing it, and then actually seeing one of your brothers laying the way he was laying, it’s scary. People don’t understand the sacrifice we make to play this game and what we put our bodies through.”
