The Miami Dolphins Manager provided an optimistic update on wide receiver Grant DuBose, who suffered a head injury during Sunday’s 20-12 loss to the Houston Texans.
The Dolphins shared that DuBose has full movement in all his limbs, and his test results came back positive.
DuBose was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported directly to a Harris County hospital for evaluation and monitoring. The injury occurred when DuBose was reaching for a pass and was hit by Texans safety Calen Bullock, Jr.
DuBose remained on the ground for over 11 minutes as EMTs and trainers worked to stabilize him before he was transported to the hospital.
The medical team promptly removed his facemask, jersey, and pads while preparing him for transport, administering an IV drip and fluids before securing him to a board.
DuBose had been activated from the injured reserve list prior to the game and was playing for the first time since Week 2 of the season. He had appeared in the first two games of the 2024 season, making one reception for 13 yards.
“There’s positive feedback with head and neck imaging,” said Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel after the game.
This season is DuBose’s second in the NFL and his first with the Dolphins.
Originally a seventh-round pick by the Green Bay Packers out of Charlotte, he was waived at the end of training camp and later claimed by the Dolphins.
DuBose remains in Houston under medical care for ongoing tests and observation, with no timeline set for his return to South Florida.
