In a major boost to Minnesota’s running back corps,  Marshall University standout as announced his commitment to join the Gophers football program.

The  dynamic and versatile back, spent multiple seasons at Marshall, where he established himself as a key contributor to the Thundering Herd offense. Known for his speed, agility, and ability to break tackles, Turner rushed for over 2,000 yards in his collegiate career and displayed a keen ability to catch passes out of the backfield, making him a dual-threat option for Minnesota.

The Gophers’ offensive staff, led by head coach P.J. Fleck, is excited to integrate Turner into their run-heavy system, which has been a hallmark of the program’s success in recent years. Fleck expressed his enthusiasm about Turner’s decision, calling the transfer “a tremendous addition” to their backfield.
