BREAKING: Colorado State Rams confirm unexpected blow as another gifted player declare his intention to enter the transfer portal

After a season plagued by injuries in 2024, Colorado State football player has decided to transfer.

A 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end with significant potential, was limited this season due to injuries. He sustained a toe injury during preseason camp, which caused him to miss several games. The redshirt sophomore played in seven games in 2024, recording 15 tackles, including four tackles-for-loss and one sack.

In 2023, Gatkuoth tallied 53 tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-loss, and an interception.

On Friday, he announced on X that he plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens on December 9.

CSU coach Jay Norvell dismissed defensive coordinator Freddie Banks following the 2024 regular season.

 

CSU went 8-4 in 2024 and will compete in a bowl game. Bowl announcements will be made Sunday, Dec. 8.
